Privacy Policy

Your privacy is critically important to us. AS Log was built with the fundamental belief that your health data is yours alone.

1. Data Stored on Your Device

AS Log does not collect or receive your health information. The health information you enter, such as symptom scores, pain details, medications, test results, notes and reminders, is stored in the app on your device. We do not operate servers or databases that receive this information.

If you enable Daily Steps, AS Log reads your daily step count from Apple Health with your permission and stores the daily total in the app on your device. AS Log does not write data to Apple Health. You can disable this feature in AS Log and manage Health permissions in the Health app or device Settings.

2. On-Device Features

Voice entry uses Apple's on-device speech recognition. AS Log does not retain the audio recording or send it to us. Where available, Apple Intelligence may be used on your device to suggest an emoji for a custom tag; your health information is not sent to an external AI service.

3. Backups, Exports and Sharing

You can choose to export your data as JSON or create an AS Log backup. Manual and automatic backups are saved only to a location you select in the Files app. Automatic backups keep up to three backup files in the AS Log Backups folder. iCloud Drive is not available as an automatic-backup destination.

If you select a third-party storage provider in Files, that provider may store or synchronise the backup under its own privacy and retention terms. AS Log and its developer cannot access files held by your selected provider.

Password protection is optional. When enabled, the backup is encrypted before it is saved. Without password protection, the backup is not encrypted by AS Log. You control where exported and backup files are stored and who you share them with.

4. No Analytics, Tracking or Advertising

AS Log contains no third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking pixels or advertisements. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising or marketing.

5. Retention, Deletion and Permissions

Information stored in AS Log remains on your device until you delete it. Delete All Data removes the app's local health records and reminders. Removing the app also removes its local database.

Delete All Data does not remove files you exported, shared or backed up. You must delete those copies from the location where they are stored. You can turn off automatic backups and password protection in AS Log, and revoke Health, microphone, speech-recognition and notification permissions in device Settings.

6. Purchases

Optional support purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details.
